It has been a great joy to come to the home of Joseph, Mary, Raju and James and I have had a lovely dinner and now a lovely lunch. We have learned about the great work done by Raju and James for the poor and about Andrew and the SPPD. It was particularly good to visit the Sacchitananda Ashram. We love to see you all again sometime.

Many thanks ‘go mibh maith agaibh (in Irish)!

I am not supposed to mention the welcome from Mary and Joseph, but how could I not thank them both for their hospitality, and Mary's excellent food. The visit to the different projects could not fail to impress me. The photo shoots and Protocol was quiet fun. Congratulations to you all at SPPD!

It is exactly ten week since I arrived here and each day has been a source of wonder and joy. Wonder at the commitment and vision of the administration and staff and joy from your warmth, good humour and friendship. SPPD is successfully achieving its ideal – helping people to help themselves, with an ever widening network. And of course, I must mention the children – their vitality, their enthusiasm, their courtesy and above all their great sense of fun. Well done, SPPD. I wish you continued services.

Today I have visited the Tuition class of SPPD at Puddupatty. It was a pleasure to meet the teachers and the students. It was even possible to communicate with them in some simple English. after that I saw the new trees they just have planted and the trees they planted last year. A nice dance performance with two drummers. The students look very eager to learn and seems to be happy to have their daily classes.

Wish them all a bright future.

WE have been living in this heaven of peace and tranquility for the past month, working as “Colour our community” art project with women from local villages. We leave today after a successful exhibition of their paintings, with sadness in our hearts. We thank each and every member of SPPD staff for the care and respect that they have given to us during our stay. We know that SPPD will continue to flourish since the commitment to community development is deeply rooted in the beliefs and culture of the organization. Zo neirizh an nbthaa leat!

What an amazing 12 weeks I have had in Soriyampatti. I came to teach and to experience Indian life. I finish having accomplished both with wonderful memories and colourful images to take home with me. After the first few weeks for settling in the remaining weeks flew by. I would like to thank all the SPPD staff for all their help and making my stay so enjoyable. They are the only reason why this great organization runs so smoothly. I wish SPPD the best of luck and success in the future!

It was our pleasure to be with you today in SPPD.

First we have to appreciate you for your organized programming and planning of every activity. And also we should mention about the Children Home which a NGO generally does not take it as a endeavour. To be frank, of the five NGOs we visited, you are the only person to take the children home as an endeavour. Besides, women development activities are well going under your supervision. And to say about farming, we are taken aback to see the greenish farm amidst of vast area of dryland. Your Iynthinai farm is like a ‘Oasis in Dryland’. And also we are pleased by your SPPD hospitality.

We the agricultural students are much impressed to take farming activity when we saw your farm rather than by our studies. Keep going. Wish you all success in your endeavour.

It’s difficult to leave so many friends but good to know it’s possible to return in the future. I’ve had an amazing time with the children, their careers and the other staff of SPPD. I was welcomed with warmth and have been cared for by the kitchen staff and children and all. I’ve found so much joy and exuberant happiness where in the past there was only sadness. I’m leaving now, inspired by the work being done at SPPD and the genuine care shown by all. You’re doing great work and it is obviously greatly appreciated by the children. Well done.

I want to thank SPPD for the wonderful and unforgettable four weeks that we could spend here. I really appreciated the hospitality and friendliness of the people here. It was fantastic to spend some time with the children and getting to know them better. Furthermore it was very nice that we had the possibility to visit many different places and to learn more about the culture and life in India. I will keep the time that I spent here at SPPD deep anchored in my heart and I will for sure miss all the staff and children. Thank you for everything!

Four incredibly enriching weeks I spent here at SPPD. I’m very glad that I had the opportunity to spend this time to see real local life in India. Little things like washing the plates with ashes gave me a completely different point of view of life. Furthermore I really appreciated to SPPD some time at the children’s home and the local study center. Eventually I would like to thank Saran our mentor and guide for the field trips. This superb experience I will keep for my lifetime. Thank you very much for everything. I hope I can come back!
