Your Privacy, Our Commitment
This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which SPPD ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, maintains, and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the https://www.sppdonline.org/ website ("Site"). This policy applies to the Site and all charitable services and donation activities offered by SPPD.
To process donations and comply with Indian law, we collect:
Personal Identification Information: Name, email address, mailing address, and phone number.
Tax Compliance Data (For 80G Receipts): Permanent Account Number (PAN) and address, which are mandatory under the Income Tax Act for issuing tax-exemption certificates.
Transaction Information: Details of the donation amount and date. We do not store your credit card, debit card, or net banking credentials. These are processed through secure, encrypted third-party payment gateways.
We use your information for the following specific purposes:
To Process Donations: To verify transactions and issue official donation receipts.
Tax Reporting: To file Form 10BD with the Income Tax Department so that you can receive your Form 10BE (80G certificate) for tax deductions.
Donor Communications: To send impact reports, newsletters, and receipts. You may opt out of these at any time.
Legal Compliance: To maintain records as required by the Ministry of Home Affairs (if applicable under FCRA) and the Income Tax Department.
We adopt strict data collection, storage, and processing practices.
Security: We use SSL encryption to protect data transmitted via our Site.
No Commercial Sharing: We do not sell, trade, or rent donor information to any third-party commercial entities.
Third-Party Providers: We share data only with trusted partners (like payment gateways and tax consultants) solely to perform donation-related services.
Donations are generally non-refundable. However, in the case of a technical error (e.g., duplicate deduction), please contact us within 7 days of the transaction.
Note: If a tax-exemption certificate (80G) has already been issued, we will be unable to process a refund.
As a "Data Principal" under Indian law, you have the right to:
Access & Correction: Request a copy of the data we hold or ask for corrections.
Withdraw Consent: You may withdraw your consent for future communications by clicking "Unsubscribe."
Erasure: You may request the deletion of your data, provided it is no longer required for legal/tax compliance (e.g., we must keep donation records for audit purposes for a minimum period as per law).
SPPD reserves the right to update this policy at any time. When updated, we will revise the date at the bottom of this page. We encourage donors to check this page frequently.
If you have questions about this policy or wish to exercise your data rights, please contact our Grievance Officer:
